Gettin' in the Holiday Spirit

I finally uploaded my pictures in the right order! Go girl!! So....bare with me. There are a few pictures in this post :] And as I'm sure you can tell by the first one....IT CAME FRIDAY!!! My offer of admission came from Stevenson :] I am so excited!! I go register for classes on the 7th!
Brooke and Jayden spent the night Friday night. And oh! what a night that was!! We gave them their Christmas presents early. Partially because we probably won't see them until after Christmas and partially because Aunt Brittany is impatient as anything :] Brooke looks really disappointed in her present doesn't she?!

When we gave Jayden his cars all he did was run around the hall in and out of the kids room and back into the guest room and round and round again. He loves cars.
Who knew that arts and crafts at Aunt Brittany's included cutting scraps of wrapping paper into tine pieces with either (a) a cricut cutter (b) funky scissors or (c) a wrapping paper cutter. And then coloring on it with crayons! WHO KNEW?!?!?

The Brittanys

Me and Brittany (from work) went shopping last night. We ate at Noodles (or as Mandy calls it...Cup O Noodles) and we did some shopping. Gretta couldn't come with us so we sent her pics galoore on her phone of all of our purchases! I took back the present I got for my grandmother and I got her something else. That I think she would like more.

Today plans include...taking my last final (woot!), selling back my book, going to Old Navy to buy a new pair of pants and to get a holiday shirt to wear at work Xmas eve, and coming home and wrapping the rest of Justin's presents before he sees them!!! and cleaning my room and taking inventory of the presents to make sure we have everything.

So off to get in the shower and take my exam! Wish me good luck!

Ridiculous

This weather is ridiculous. Yesterday is was freezing rain and today it's almost too warm to wear a sweater. I can't stand this Maryland winter weather. It's crazy.

Anyway...on a happier note...I got a phone call on Monday and it went to. Long story short...I've been playing phone tag with the Assistant Director of Admissions at Stevenson University and turns out...she was calling me to tell me to hurry up and register for classes because I WAS EXCEPTED!! EEE!!! I am so excited. Towson was pretty much keeping me in limbo, but Stevenson called me instead of sending a letter. The college is closed until January 2nd and classes start January 12th. So I have to hurry and apply :] Oy Vey!

Between that, and work and Christmas things...my life has been so crazy.

I'm going to work on some more Christmas stuff. Adios!

Empty House

I still haven't gotten used to living in an empty house. As many times as my parents go away, I still don't like staying here by myself. In my old house it might have been okay, since it was much smaller. And now every time this house moves it scares me. Or every time the dogs get up, I'm scared. It stinks.

Last night was really fun and simple. Justin and I went to get some take-out Chinese food, and we rented Wall-E (which by the way wasn't as great as we'd thought it would be. I'm tired of Disney movies have ulterior motives) and then we watched a new episode of Ghost Hunters :]

I got some more Christmas shopping done :] My step-mom is finished. So now I have to finish my dad and my grandmother, and I still have to start Mom Cathy, Grandmom Markle, Tabitha, Aunt Jean and Uncle Rick. And I don't know who all Justin has to finish. I know what I am getting mostly everyone except my grandfather and my aunt. And I have to design scrapbook pages for Grandmom, which unfortunately won't get done until school is over.

I'm rambling and need to go back to bed :] Goodnight

Neglect

Wow!! I have really neglected my blog for the past week.

Now I know what a work-a-holic is! I worked 60.34 hours this week (or so the time clock said :]). And boy was I pooped. And on top of that, it looks like I might have to work a little overtime this week too!! I have tons of homework, transcripts to send out, bills to pay, and take care of Justin.

OH! P.S. - in case anyone wasn't at Grandmom Markle's on Friday...Justin hurt his knee again. To the point that he is having a really hard time walking. We went to get dinner last night and he walked around Wal*Mart. Well...only to the pharmacy section to get stuff for me to pamper him :] And then right to the couch!

I have a paper to write and I am really procrastinating :]

Ice Ice Baby

I am convinced that my house and the houses on each side of mine, are the only houses in Carroll County and Hanover with ice on the driveways and snow on the grass. This is cantankerous. There is about 2 inches of ice in the tire impression from my dad's work truck. Madness I tell you.

And for once...work if offering as much overtime as anyone wants :] So I am taking them up on their offer. From this past Saturday to Blitz Friday I am working at least 60 hours :] 20 hours of overtime, plus holiday pay :] GO ME!

PRESENTS!

We finished wrapping all of the presents we bought tonight. More to come :]

Shopping

Did some more shopping the other day :] Got my grandmothers gift. I would disclose what it is but she checks this from time to time :] What a little snooper.

I am trying to keep up on wrapping my gifts. My holiday traditions for the past 2 years have been watch a movie and help mom Cathy wrap gifts and then I go down and watch soaps and help my grandmother wrap her gifts. So I don't want to be behind in mine as I will be helping them.

People to cross off our lists:
Owen
Markie
Maddie
Gran
Britt

People we have ideas for:
Cathy
Gran
Nevin
Fred
Brooke
Jayden
Wesley
Gracie

I feel really disoriented right now... like I'm falling forward. Weird :/

Christmas Shopping

I LOVE Christmas and almost everything about it. The decorations, the old movies, the trees, the candy canes, family, yummy food, and baking cookies :] The only part I don't like about Christmas is buying gifts. I don't mind spending the money...but I wish there was some magical way for me to pay the money, avoid shopping, have it under the tree and wrapped and for it to be exactly what they want and someone no one else bought :]

Oh! And on the computer front...I was up until 3 am sweeping it with all different things that Justin and Nevin loaded on here, and it opened up today just fine. I guess maybe it was a fluke. Who knows :] Fingers crossed that's all it was.

UGH!

Okay...so maybe a new computer won't be necessary. I started it back up in Windows again and it went to a black screen and it said if I didn't know why Windows didn't start normally to select the "Start Windows Normally" selection. So I did. And it opened right up :] Last time it crashed, I didn't so much as get that option . So hopefully, after a good sweepin' it will be okay!

Worked the November sweepstakes tonight. Broke 100 contacts, 50 sections, 10,000 points and I even stuck it in there for SNJ and SC. I had lots of competition. I was starting to get ruthless, and I was yelling over people like others did to me! I wanted those contacts gosh darn it! Justin said it was time for me to go to bed before I threw the mic :] Not me!!

Next week - i think is Thanksgiving. Then we aren't going Black Friday shopping. I have to work 5am-9am. Then my grandmother, my aunt and I are going to Festival of Trees in Timmonium. You should go! It benefits the Kennedy Krieger Institution :] Good cause, pretty lights, tons of crafty stuff....eh?!

Off to bed. Up early to run the contest and spend some time with Maddie. She spent the night at Justin's but she wasn't feeling the greatest. I think she was just sleepy :] Then to work. Bleh!

Blue Screen O' Death :[

So...starting my laptop into Windows gave me the blue screen of death. I'm hoping it was just an error. So I rebooted and started in Linux. I guess I have to take it to Justin's tomorrow and have Nevin look at it. I am seriously contemplating just buying a new laptop. This one is only 2 1/2 years old. Which is almost new !!! But this will be the second time my hard drive has crashed. I quit. All I ever do on this thing is Blog, check email and maybe work on stuff for school. This is bull crap if you ask me!

Clumsy Much?!

I fell the way down my stairs today :[ End of story.

Oh and I started from scratch on my scarf today and I finished it tonight! I think that's the fastest I've ever done anything :] It was pretty exciting.

Owen & I chatted it up with Fred on skype tonight :] Then we played some Nick Jr. and watched some Ghost Hunters and danced a bit! Oh and we played with Uncle Justin's tools.

Off to start another scarf tomorrow!

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

OH!! DUH!!

HAPPY VETERANS DAY !!!

Crafty-ness

I started making my own scarf today :] It is black, dark grey and off white - it matches nicely with my new p-coat. I have about 4 to 5 rows done and I'm going to work on it tomorrow in between my classes. I can't wait to have it finished!!

OH! And I thought about putting phase one of redecoration back into action after the holidays :/

Christmas is going to be crazy this year...but better than last :] In case anyone in the family is wondering...we are going to Xmas Eve service at my church is Sykesville, and spending the night at my grandparents. Then Xmas morning we will have breakfast and leave to come up this way and do gifts with Justin's family. Then to my house to see my dad :] And then down to Grandmom Markle's for Xmas dinner. Too many people, too litte time.

I have a question? Why do all of the Presidential "code" names start with R? Renegage, Rennessance, Rosemary and Rosebud?! Seriously....

:]

Fall Fever

Recently, I have been obsessed with oranges, greens, browns, blues and reds. I really think that fall has sunk in. I have also fancied leaves and trees. That's not weird at all, right?!

On to a normal topic...this weekend was exhausting but fun. It was hilarious to watch my grandparents play Wii. I'll have to put this video up later today. Left to come home yesterday morning, as I worked 2:30 to 11:30 last night. It was crazy busy at work. I managed to make it out of there with only a huge migrane and a fever. And by fever I mean...101.6 and slight dizziness. Feeling better today though, but decided against teaching. I didn't want any of the students to get sick if I was really coming down with something. I will just go to work and infect everyone else tonight :]

Next Monday is my last Monday teaching :[ This internship has been a great one!! I was really nervous about starting, only because it was something completely new. And I LOVED it!! The kids were wonderful and my coordinating teacher talked to me all the time and answered all my questions. Oh...if you didn't already know...I was working with Special Education students. I have never been so sad to leave a placement, as I am to leave this one :[ I won't have a clue as to what to do with my Monday mornings anymore...

Well...off to do fun things with trees and leaves :]

We're Moving to Canada !!

It has been literally FORVER since I made a post. So this one is going to be pretty lengthy - bare with me.

Let's see...not a whole lot has changed on the busy front. School is getting worse with thinking about transfers and applications and all that jazz. Work is getting better. We are finally working our way to a set schedule. YIPEE !!! :]
------------------------------------------------

I have been working out on my Wii Fit almost everyday. I have lost 3 more lbs :] I'm excited.

------------------------------------------------

My bubble was burst last week. I was looking forward to painting pumpkins with my girl, but it didn't work out. Sandy had to meet with her parents about details on the new house. Which is awesome that they are moving!! YIPEE :] I can't wait for them to get out of that crappy house and get into a safe house. And the best part is they can take the dogs AND they are moving only like two houses away from my other brother's house :]

SO...when they get settled they better believe I will be there all the time. Brooke is feeling alot better, and I know once they get into the new house, she will be just fine. So skipping out on pumpkins is a-okay by me for now. We will have to paint double next year :]

------------------------------------------------

We went out Friday for our 3 1/2 year anniversary! We went to Sakura in Westminster. The chef threw food into people's mouths and I caught it and Justin didn't. How embarassing :] We had a good time and went out for Hoffman's apple pie ice cream afterwards.

------------------------------------------------

This weekend is going to be super busy. We are leaving tomorrow night after work and going down to Sykesville for the weekend. My church is having it's annual Christmas Bazaar. So we will be down there helping. Up early, up late ... sounds amazing...NOT!

------------------------------------------------

Now onto the hotest topic of the hour - politics and our soon-to-be POTUS Obama. Justin really hates the idea that he is going to be in office. So much that he swears we are moving to Canada. I really hate cold weather. So I'd better pack all my winter stuff. And I'm pretty sure my dad said he's coming along, too :] Was I voting for McCain?! Absolutely. But change might be good. Who knows. We will have to wait and see. Slots on the other hand...no thanks. None of that money will go to schooling systems or to emergency responders.

-------------------------------------------------

On a happier note...the trees by my house are finally turning into rich shades of orange and red. They are so gorgeous :] I love fall. But if it were December, I would swear it was going to snow. The sky was white almost all day today. I dread the snow :[

-------------------------------------------------

Thanks for listening to me ramble. I have to be at work early...goodnight :]

Super Busy

This week has been nothing but chaos!! And I am working really hard, and I feel like nothing is getting done. School is crazy! I have had pretty much one or two big assignments due for every class of everyday this week. It's nuts!!

Thursday, I am hoping to get a pumpkin and take it to my brother's house for Brooke to paint :] She's been sick, so Aunt Brittany is going to make it all better :] I miss her loads. It's been three weeks since I have seen her. We are best friends.

Well I better get a move on with my school work. I have two reflections for a research paper due tomorrow by 9:30 and a teaching portfolio due by 3:30. It's crazy!!

Wii Mania

I think I finally figured out how to upload movies onto this thing :]

This one is Adam (Justin's cousin) & Justin playing Wii at my house this past weekend. In case you can't tell...Adam is kneeling on his knees. He got really into the game. I think they were playing red light, green light on Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

I think I got some bad news today. I got a message on my home phone from a professional recovery business. I'm thinking that either (a) my dad did not pay the doctors bills like he was supposed to; (b) he paid them and they did not receive them; or (c) someone in my house moved the bills and my dad never saw them and they did not get paid. So...I'm pretty sure the collection company is coming after me, and ruining my credit because my insurance company dropped me when I turned 19, and no one sent in the proper paperwork for my dad's insurance to cover me...with me being a full-time student and all that jazz. So I get to call them at 8:00 morning :] AWESOME! Not.

Work was kind of a roller coaster today. Our manager, Don retired. It was pretty much touching. We found out who he promoted at the new supervisor of the front end....good choice, good choice. And...one of the girls I work with, made the comment "to visit your mom" when I asked where everyone went. I thought she knew about my mom, and I guess she didn't, but that didn't make me feel better. It's not that I was super mad at her, just super mad at the whole situation.

OH! Then my laptop had a virus. Super!! But Justin and his dad fixed that. And then the internet didn't work since it was set to proxy settings. They fixed that too.

Simple Pleasure - awesome managers who go above and beyond to accommodate his associates :]

Simple Pleasures

So...I've decided that at the end of every blog post I am going to give that day's current simple pleasure. I have so much in my life to be thankful for, but there is always that one thing everyday that just puts a smile on my face.

So this weekend was a blast!! My dad was away hunting which was kind of a bummer :[ We were up until 1:30 Friday night playing Wii and then Saturday, Adam came over and the guys played Wii while I worked on homework. Adam was here until about 11:30 and then Justin stayed until about 2 :]

Brooke is still sick. Sandy took her back to the doctors for the 3rd week in a row. She sounds better this week, and she says she is feeling better but she still has a croopy cough :[ We decided to nix the pumpkin patch idea, and we are going to buy a pumpkin and all new paint and all new paint brushes, so we can do something fun together for halloween. Plus I plan to get all kinds of fun cookies for us to bake with Sandy :]

With all that said...let's catch up on this weekend's simple pleasures, shall we?!

Friday - Talking to Brooke and her telling me she loves me and she misses me :]
Saturday - For great managers & coworkers who are super understanding when I messed up my schedule by a whole shift...oops :]
Sunday - Justin & I going out to eat on my dinner break :]

Today's - One of my student blazed through her math work today! And she did excellent working on one digit addition using charts, tables, stamps & a calculator! I LOVE my profession :]

Addiction...

Is not a pretty thing. We got our Wii on Thursday and because I was at my grandparent's house that night, we hooked it up last night. And boy is it fun :] We were up until 1:00 playing the dern thing!! But it is pretty cool. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do :] So now, not only am I addicted to coffee, books, ghost hunters and redecorating....I have Wii to add to my list :]

We went out for date night last night - my treat. We planned on going to Outback but since we piddly-farted around with the Wii, when we got there it was jam-packed. So we went to Noodles instead (fine by me!!). And we stopped and got another nunchuk for the Wii and a Cranium game. It's super fun. Then we went and got gelato. That stuff is really yummy. Especially the caramel one.

Well I think Justin is coming over to play Wii this morning :] I'd better get my fix before he hogs it :]

Botanical Gardens & Other Fun Stuff

Yesterday, Brittani, Morgan & I went to the Botanical Gardens in D.C. and we went to The Nationa; Air and Space Museum. These pictures are slightly out of order. I really stink at these uploads. I'll get better soon I promise. WARNING: pictures and info gallore. Bear with me :]

The cockpit of one of the planes in the ASM. Too many buttons.

Morgan, me & Britt in front of the Capitol.
The girls again :]
The BG had all these funky globes everywhere.
A little fountain covered by some flowers.
This is one funky flower.
Me & Britt in front of a waterfall. Kudos to Morgan...our photographer.
Morgan was tired and decided to sleep in an astronauts bed.
All in all it was a fun day. Morgan got attacked by pigeons, a crazy lady with a cart full of stuffed animals was walking and talking to herself (and no it wasn't a bluetooth...that's what we thought!) and we thought there was a national mall...wrong! It was a "mall" of all the Smithsonian museums. Tricksters. Morgan & I fell asleep on the way home :]
Then Justin and I went out for date night. He took me to Carrabbas. My favorite. We walked around the Hunt Valley stores and be bought me a new wallet...not a Vera...much cooler :] And I got two new books...one of which I started this morning and am already on chapter 5!! It's a darn good book. Justin and I are off for another adventure today before I have to be at work at 2 :]

New Layout

I thought my blog could use just a splash of color :] I personally love the little punkin. He's cute :]

I had new thoughts for my room today:

Thought 1: paint my trim white again (which will involve a primer).
Thought 2: paint my walls a light tanish color, instead of whiter with a touch of lavendar.
( I think it will look better with the green).
Thought 3: take down the lavendar valances on my windows and put up darker green ones.

So I think that's what I am going to do! For sure. But I am going to paint my accent wall first, paint the rest of the walls, and then paint the trim and the doors.

I want my room to be my own. And I want it to have a comfortable, rustic feel to it. And I don't want it to be too girly so I am going to do away with the accents. So there we have it. I have made my decision, decision made. Of course I will change it about 5 more times. But I'm a woman. What do you want from me :]

Peace & Love.

Phase 1 ... Has Begun

Today started Phase 1 of my room transformation :] The five boards below are the original ones that Brandee and I picked out.

And these are the finished projects. Justin helped pick out the rest of the paper tonight :]

I finished these nine. And one day this week I am going to make like 4 or 5 more, but smaller ones. And once I get my wall painted next week, I will see if they work on that wall or if i should put them elsewhere.

Which brings me to my next point...I am very proud of myself. I bought spackle today for the first time by myself :] AND I spackled some of the holes in my wall. You can barely tell :] How exciting. After payday next week, I will go buy the darker green paint and hopefully get the wall behind my entertainment center painted. Yipee. Finally!! A room to call my own.

My step mom mostly decorated by rooms before because when we moved in with her, the house was hers. But this house is half my dads, and I he really doesn't care what I do in it. He said no funky colors. And I didn't.

That's all for now. Work tomorrow morning at 6:30. OH! And p.s. - stay tuned for Friday :] Morgan, Brittani and I are going to the botanical garden in D.C. Pictures gallore :]

Do-It-Yourself

So I started this project with Brandee on Friday: making picture boards. And she pretty much got me hooked. We went and got the supplies and thank goodness Brandee helped me pick paper. I was looking at grandma wallpaper. YUCK!

Pictures will be posted later once they are on my wall. Another thing to add to Justin's hunny-do list. Suprisingly, for a women I think I do a pretty dern good job of hanging things on my wall. I might take the long way to get them there, but I get them up and they are even straight.

This week starts phase 1 of my room transformation. The few hours I have between work and school will be entire dedicated to spackling. I have a few holes in the wall where I thought it was cool to hang things by thumb tacks. So I will start spackling the wall behind my entertainment center and sanding it down. Next week, probably Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evening I will paint the wall a dark green. The other walls probably wont be painted for a while. I will have to spend more time on them since they have doors and windows to go around. Picture will be posted later :] I will do a before, an after, and everything in between. I feel sneaky doing it behind my dad's back, but it's my room. He'll get over it. My grandmother is all on board for my project so she must not think its too tacky :]

Okay well off to get ready to have brunch with Justin. If he ever gets out of bed :] He likes to really sleep in on these cool fall mornings. Chao!

Peace & Love

Ready for a Change

So I think I am finally ready to do my room. After looking at Brandee's pictures of the baby's room, I might have enough courage now to paint my own room. And then when I think about it...I'm not ready. Then again I wasn't ready to paint my trim either. I might just paint the one wall a darker green for now. And I might tackle my other walls on a snowy day. So much spackeling is involved. I thought it was "stylish" to pin things up with thumb tacks. Yeah...no...don't do that. And that blue stuff teachers use...don't put that on your walls either. It leaves oil stains. Once I clean out my room, half of my stuff will go to my grandmothers for storage. If your reading this Gran...clean out my cubby hole in the garage and my closets at the house :] HeHe. We think it's funny...Pop...not so much. I take up space in his workshop :] Good thing I'm cute.

I also thought about getting a new bed frame. A wooden one. Justin thinks it would make my room look smaller. I like them though. But my dad doesn't see a need. He told me even if my frame breaks, my bed will be held up by all the junk I have stored underneath. He's probably right. I think I have school stuff from the 9th grade living under there. I started a list about the things that will stay in my room and what will go:

To stay:
* Dresser
* Bed
* Book shelf
* Entertainment center
* Desk
* Wicker cube
* Baskets
* Photos and frames

To go in storage:
* My bears
* Various boxes
* A bunch of binders and folders.
* Corkboard
* Dry erase board
* Picture board

I'm always looking for new ways to brighten my room and decorate it. If you have any, let me know :]

I have to get ready! It's Wednesday...so you know what that means....GHOST HUNTERS :] and DESTINATION TRUTH!! yay!!

peave & love.

It's Been a While...

So my neighbors switched their internet providers and I had to wait for them to set it up so we can "borrow" their wi-fi. Thanks goodness. I was going through withdrawl :]

Updates:

1. Justin and I went to dinner last night. Red Lobster. My favorite. And then he bought me caramel apple coffee creamer. It's delicious!

2. I lost 2 more pounds this week :] GO ME!

I think that's all for now. I am going to get my hair cut today. Contrary to what most people think... no it's not short enough. And I realized that it is the same length in the back that it is in the front. You would think that's good...but not when it's supposed to be a "bob" hair style. I don't think I described it to her correctly. So it's grown out a little so we will try again. I am going to Hair Cuttery this time since they are on my way to school. GEOGRAPHY test today! Woot Woot! p.s. - I'm going to fail :]

I am also asking for prayers for Justin's brother and his family (Fred, Brandee, Owen and Baby Girl Markle). I know lots of you from my family and friends from church read this. So just keep them in your prayers, as they are in ours. Thanks.

Under The Weather

Feeling a tinge yucky today :[

My throat is sore and a little swolen. And my neck is still acting funky.

Brit, Morgan and I gave our presentation on the Golgi complex today in Bio. We rocked it out!!

Gran and I went and got our toes done and I got my nails done :]

Brandee & Fred are having a baby girl :] :] :] How exciting!! One of each :]

Off to bed...

Puff

Sunday at work we cut Puff's hair. The deal was that if we raised $300 or more for CMN, Puff would get his hair cut. The salon was booked so Sami cut his hair right in front of Customer Service.

I can never get these pictures to upload in order, therefore, these are slightly backwards.

This is Puff with his hair cut short, and gelled up. He pretty much looks sharp :]

This is the bag full of hair that Sami cut off of his head.
Puff looking kind of emo-ish.
Checking himself in the mirror after the hair cut (I told you I can't upload)!
And, Puff before he got his hair cut. He can actually see now.
This is what happens when management and other employees challenge the Front End associates. We do crazy things...crazy, crazy things :]

Everything But Dull...

There is never a dull moment where I work.

Most everyone knows by now that I applied for the merchandise supervisor position over accessories. I probably won't get it because of my hours...which is okay. But it never hurts to try. While I am waiting for my interview, I am learning the area and working with the geminis. Can it in no way hurt me or the store to learn another areas. I'm just trying to better myself.

Oh the other hand, school is nothing but dull too. Scratch that... Geography is boring as heck. More pictures, more movies...UGH! I'm sick of learning about Yellowstone. It is built on a supervolcano that will erupt anytime between now and 200,000 years from now and Yellowstone will no longer exist.

On a much happier note, and the hopefully relaxing flip-side...Justin and I are beginning plans for an autumn vacation :] Camping I'm sure. We took my beachy vacation this summer so it's his turn to pick the vacation spot :\ It's only fair.

OH! And back to the school front, I got my assignment for teaching this semester. Where I REALLY belong :] In a classroom! Middle school none the less :]

Monday, September 8, 2008

Goodness Gracious!!

My CRAZY geography teacher showed us more slides. Today, it was of rhino skeletons. Exciting. Let me tell you. Then she assigned us a reading and I spent all morning reading & typing up my notes...and we didn't even talk about plate tectonics. She is driving me insane! In the words of my 4 year old boyfriend, Jacob..."she is really killing me!"

On a happier note... I cleaned my room Sunday before work. I can see the carpet and my dresser :] And soon we will be ready to paint :]

Saturday I worked all night. Running around the store like crazy trying to catch theives in the act. No luck. But we will next time...mark my words!! They are mesing with MY quarterly bonus now!!

Friday, we went to Fred & Brandee's. And had a huge fondue dinner/dessert. The quote for the night "oh no! I lost my pickle!!" Too much food. P.S. - apples and cheese...not yummy. I don't care what the Melting Pot serves. That's gross. The guys found old movies that Fred taped when he was still at home. And Brandee and I sang love songs to each other on Karaoke Revolution! OH! And Justin and I rocked out on Guitar Hero. We only got booed off two or three times. His fault...might I add :]

Thursday we went to the barn and I have lots of pictures to move off my cell phone. I will post them later if I have time. Right now, I have a lab to do for the crazy geo lady.

Scratch my Eyes Out!

The above title has two purposes.

1. my allergies are awful and I feel like I could scratch my eyes out.

2. after watching an hour and a half of my geography teacher's vacation slides, I felt like I could scratch my eyes out. She's like the crazy aunt with the home videos that everyone hates going to visit. Plus she's really old, and my friend Brittani is convinced that the only reason she knows alot about geography is because she lived it. RUDE! but funny.

School was boring. Everyone says that, but it is. I have my sciences this year. How much more boring does it get!?

Currently looking through cookbooks to find something yummy to make Justin for dinner. Without my acid reflux...the posibilities are endless. Chao!

Loving the Cool Summer Nights

Even though it was muggy outside, as soon as we drove from PA and got near our street in MD, you could tell a definite temperature change. Pretty much due to the winding stream by my house. It was super cool and breezy.

We went out for dinner last night. We went to Keystone Diner. It was a cute little place. With kick-butt calamari. We might go for breakfast this morning. Their water was definitally PA water. Something I'm not used to. Bleh!

Then we went to Staples! And Justin let me fill up a cup full of binder clips and paper clips. For only $5.99!! I was super excited. He got bored waiting after 30 minutes because I tried to cram every single paper clip I could into that thing. He called it stingey...I called it getting our monies worth! We got a good laugh.

Off to grab a shower and then to work later today! I have a pretty chilled out day, hanging at the Service Desk. Yay!!

First Day

I drove up to PA today to go with my sister-in-law to get Brooke off the bus today from her first day in kindergarten at Baresville Elementary School.
These are just a little backwords.

Brooke enjoying her after-school donut.

She didn't like her smoothie much.
Sitting on the "stoop" waiting for mommy.
Getting off the bus. Here comes the bus!

After a long day of craftiness and hair coloring...and playing with my little ponies, I was pooped. Justin was so cute. He had dinner ready for me when I got home tonight. Chicken tacos. Needless to say I did not get to enjoy them. My acid reflux has been really acting up this week and I ate a little and felt sick. I still feel nauseated. On that note, I'm going to bed and try not to get sick.

Crafty Notebooks

So, I spent 3 hours today decorating my binders for school. Call me dorky...I'd like to think I am organized and crafty. The cutting didn't take long at all since I have a machine for that. The gluing took the longest. The grass hopper one is my favorite :]

Work, Work, Work

That's all I feel like I do. Is work. Last night I didn't get home until 1:05 am from work. Today wasn't bad, I had a baby shift. Tomorrow is going to be brutal. Another supervisor needed the night off so I picked up her shift. I work 10-5 then 6:30-10:30. Guess what I'll be doing with my 1 1/2 hours...you got it! Sleeping.

On a happier/sadder note, Brooke starts kindergarten this year. I am so excited for her to learn gobs of new things. But is it completely selfish that I want her to stay young forever. She's growing up too fast. I'm hoping to catch some kodak moments of her first day.

On a related note, I don't really care to go back to school. BUT I did go school shopping today. I always love getting new stationary and office supplies. Justin calls me a nerd...maybe so.

Girls Day Out :]

Today was pretty awesome! I got to sleep in for a while and then got up and my grandmother made me fried green tomatoes. Mmmm my fave! Then we went and got our nails done :] Mine are like a dark orange. And hers are french with a design! She's a pretty kick-butt grandmother, if I do say so myself. On the way home I stopped by a produce market and got Justin some patty-pan squash. Boy was he surprised :] He's playing video games with his niece and nephew. Who knows what the rest of the night holds...probably a movie and popcorn :] oh! and a picture update later...but I think I might get my hair highlighted tomorrow.

Wild Animals

So...the other morning when I was leaving for work I spotted this awesome-looking spider web on this bush-like-nature-thing on my front porch. It was covered in dew and I couldn't help but a take a picture.

Oh! Diet update....I lost another pound. I haven't been exercising as much as I should. I have the hardest time getting up earlier than I have to in the morning. But still loosing...pretty cool.

Oh! and p.s. - I LOVE SECRETS :]

Sunflowers

Instead of the usual pink or purple flowers, I opted to get my mom sunflowers!! Aren't they pretty?!

OH! on the brighter side of things...the weather today was amazing :] Couldn't have been prettier.

I should be a hair stylist :]

BECAUSE... I did my hair super cute today! I got bored with it already and decided to do something new :]

Off to my mom's ...

Nothing New

Not much to report here today. I was a lazy bones and couldn't tear myself out of my snuggley bed to go down into my freezing basement and run. Tomorrow I sure will. You can count on it.

Tomorrow will be a rollercoaster of a day! Running, going to my mom's cemetary (Sunday would have been her 47th birthday), probably a nap and then work 6-10. Baby shift tomorrow...YES!

Just so I can get up tomorrow morning...goodnight :]

Torture

I put myself on this diet and my goal is to loose at least 20 pounds. I would like to loose at least 10 by the time that I go back to school. And dare I say...this diet is torture. Unlike other diets I have been on, this is the only one have stuck to for more than 2 days. I usually cave when I see sweets and coffee. Oh man, is coffee a weakness for me. And by I love coffee, I mean...I love a little coffee with my cream and sugar. Not the healthiest thing. Although, I did have a small cup today with minimal sugar and a little creamer.

I have also started exercising more often. The other day I jogged at least 3/4 of a mile. Some days I feel better than others. Today I have a headache and I feel tired. Probably from a lack of excess carbs and sugar. My iPod glued to my ear doesn't help matters either!

So far I have lost 1.6 pounds since I started this endeavor on Sunday 8/10. Keep your fingers crossed :]

New Hair

So I got angry with my hair and I decided to chop it all off! Take a looksie...

For Starters...

I got bored one day and decided to explore Google and meandered my way to BlogSpot! This thing is nifty! I might like it more than MySpace!

Anywho...this is pretty much my blog about my life and things, but Justin is a huge part of my life so I put his name on it too!

I just finished with my Human Exceptionalities class and I am currently waiting for my final grade. I am very impatient when it comes to school, so this is torture for me! And Oh No! a letter will not suffice, I must have an actual percentage!

As I patiently await my grades ... I am going to get my hair cut tonight ... fingers crossed :]
